# Add a Tag or Note to a Contact

# Adding Tags and Notes to a Contact

* _Tags_ can be used to filter your contacts in a way you can easily organize them. 

* _Notes_ is where you can jot down any short memo you want to remember about this contact. 

### How to add a tag to a contact:

1. From your SocialGlow dashboard, click **Contacts** from the lefthand menu. 

All of your Contacts _(members of all of your groups combined)_ will be listed here. 

2. Locate the Contact you want to add a tag to, and click the **+** icon under the _Tag_ column.

3. Type in the tag you want to add, and click the checkmark to save.

### How to add a note to a contact

1. From your SocialGlow dashboard, click **Contacts** from the lefthand menu. 

2. Locate the Contact you want to add a note to, and click the **+** icon under the _Notes_ column.

3. Type in the note you want to add, and click the checkmark to save.

##### You can use the Search function at the top of the page to search for any tags used, or text used in your notes. It will pull up any Contacts that tag/note is saved to.
