# Create a Coupon Code

# Coupon Codes
_Create a coupon code your members can use to receive a discount on any subscription-type paywalls you've enabled._

|| Note: Coupons cannot be applied to one-time fees. They can only be applied to subscription-type paywalls.

1. From the SocialGlow dashboard, click **Payments** from the menu.

2. Select the **Coupons** tab.

3. Click the **Create Coupon** button.

4. Provide the following:
* _Coupon Name:_ This will be the code your customers type in to receive the discount.
* _Discount Type:_ Select either _Fixed Amount_ or _Percentage Discount._
* _Amount:_ Enter either the dollar amount or percentage number that will be discounted from the total.

|| The minimum price total Stripe allows is $0.50 USD. Please keep this in mind when choosing the Fixed Amount or Percentage discount.

Click the **Next Step** button at the bottom of the page.

5. Usage: This determines how long the coupon will be applied. 
* _Duration:_ Choose from _Forever_, _Once_, and _Repeating._

* _Max Redemptions:_ Enter the maximum times this coupon code can be used, by all customers combined. 

* _(optional)_ Toggle the _Redeem By_ date, and choose an expiration date for this coupon.

6. Click the **Create** button.

For your reference, each coupon is listed under the Coupons tab.
