Using Zapier to connect to other apps

You may find yourself wanting to connect your SocialGlow account to another app, to help streamline your business.

What is Zapier?

Zapier is a sort of mediator between over 5,000 apps, the glue connecting your different web integrations together.

Say, for example: each time you sell an e-book of yours in a different app, you want that person to receive an invitation to join your SocialGlow group.

Zapier allows you to automate these triggers-and-actions, which they call Zaps.

Once that trigger is engaged (the purchase of your ebook), Zapier communicates that to SocialGlow and your action (an email invitation to your SocialGlow group) will be completed automatically.

While this example was the sale of an e-book, the sky is the limit here. With over 5,000 apps available to connect to, you are likely to find a good fit for whatever trigger you're wanting to enable.

Connecting your SocialGlow account to Zapier

First, you'll need to log in or create an account with Zapier. They have different price levels, including a free plan.

Connect your SocialGlow account

From Zapier, click My Apps from the lefthand menu

Click the Add Connections button, in the righthand corner

Search for SocialGlow (all one word, no spaces)

A new window will pop up, asking you to add your API key. This is giving Zapier permission to connect to your SocialGlow account.

To find your API key, go to your SocialGlow profile settings here, and copy the text given there. If no text is given, you may need to click the Generate button there first.

Paste your API key here, then click Yes, Continue.

Your SocialGlow account will now be listed under your Connections on Zapier, and you'll be able to create Zaps that include your SocialGlow account.

For more information on how Zaps are used and how to create them, please refer to Zapier's Learning Center. They have fantastic guides that walk you through step-by-step!
