SMS text notifications are an optional feature, where SocialGlow will send SMS text messages to your group members, if enabled.

Here's how to enable this optional paid feature:

| NOTE: This does not affect the normal free mobile app, email, and push notifications that your guests will automatically receive.

Go to your Profile Settings, and click the Credits tab.

You can purchase credits from here. The card you have on file for your subscription is the payment method that will be charged.
You can also opt to automatically refill your credits, or leave that disabled.
Each text sent per guest = 1 credit.

Each text that gets sent per guest = 1 credit.

Next, go to your group settings.

Click the Step 2 tab.
You'll have the option to turn SMS notifications ON for that particular group.
Click the Save button at the bottom of that page.

How Your Guests get Notified via SMS Text Messages

When your guest RSVPs to your Group, they are given the option to enable SMS notifications, which are text messages sent directly to their phone. Each text sent will use 1 credit, per guest that text was sent to.

How to Go Live in your SocialGlow Group

SocialGlow supports live video streaming in three different ways.

1. Streaming via the SocialGlow mobile app

If you prefer to go live from the SocialGlow mobile app without needing to link to another program, this option would be the best fit.

| This feature is available to those with a Premium subscription.

This is the most seamless way to livestream from your phone. Instead of linking to another program, you can just choose the LIVE option when creating a new group post, and start streaming right away.

2. Streaming via YouTube Live Stream

_If you want a “one-to-many” live stream (i.e you want to stream yourself while others can only watch and listen, and comment) then you will want to use YouTube Live Streaming. _

This option has the benefit of the live stream happening directly inside your SocialGlow group. In other words, when your guests click the live stream it doesn't open a new tab or take your guest to any other website.

Importing or Transferring any Templates and Post Libraries is easy if you have an active PostMyParty account.

Credentials:

Login to your SocialGlow dashboard, and click your profile picture in the upper right corner. Select Import Data,

Enter your PostMyParty account email and password, and click Next Step. Make sure you're entering your PostMyParty username and password here, not your SocialGlow information.

Choose Templates:

Check the box beside any templates you want to import.

| TIP: Your list of Templates will show in order of oldest to newest created. Click the columns by Name or Date Created to sort the lists differently.

Click Next Step at the bottom of the page to continue on. Or if you do not want to import any templates, choose Skip Step instead.

Choose Libraries

Check the box beside any libraries you want to import.

Using YouTube is the best option for streaming Live videos to members right inside your group, because they will not be taken to another website.

|| Note: This is set up from your desktop computer unless you have at least 50 subscribers to your YouTube channel and have “Mobile Live” as an option.

Going Live Immediately in your Group

Log into or create your YouTube account.
Click on the video Create icon in the top bar.
Select the Go Live option. If you have not previously enabled the “Live option” you may need to complete that first and then return here. In some cases there may be a 24 hour delay.

Next you will fill out any pertinent information for your Live Stream; ie, name, description, category, thumbnail if desired, audience, etc. _Make sure to keep the visibility either as “Public” or “Unlisted”. _

| TIP: Create a thumbnail for your videos that says “I’m Live, click me!” so there is no confusion.

Click Done when finished.
While still on the Stream Preview screen, click on Share to get your share link.
Copy that link to your clipboard. Do not close

Invite Codes are the recommended way to invite members to your group. This is especially helpful as it eliminates the step of having to use a link to join the group, and prompts guests to use the mobile app.

Locating your Group's invitation code:

From your SocialGlow dashboard, click Group.
Click the Share icon beside the group name you're wanting to invite members to.

A new window will pop up, which lists both your Invitation Code and RSVP Link and. Click the Copy Code button.

You can then send that code to anyone you'd like to join your group. It can be sent however you generally communicate with each person (text, email, instant message, etc).

Using Invitation Codes

There are two ways members can use the invite code you send them, using the mobile app

Joining your Group

When folks use the invite link or code you send them, they will be taken to an RSVP page where they can see the details of your group.

This process is a bit different, depending on if they already have a free SocialGlow account or not. I'll break down both of those scenarios below.
