Chats: Pin / Mute / Remove / Leave

How to Pin, Mute, Remove, and Leave Chats


These edits can be made from both the mobile app, and the website.

Pin Chat: This will pin a specific chat to the top of your Chats list, to aid in navigating to that chat quickly. You can pin multiple chats.
Mute: Silences all notifications for the chat
Remove: Deletes the chat, for you and for all members of that chat. This is permanent and cannot be recovered.
This option will show for Admins only.
Leave: Removes yourself from that chat. Other members can still participate and see past replies in that chat.


From the Mobile App:



Tap the Chats icon from the bottom taskbar



Select any chat that you want to edit. This includes group chats, and personal (one-on-one) chats.

Click the profile picture (or set of initials) from the top corner.



Select your preferred action (Pin / Mute / Remove or Leave)



Depending on your selection, that chat will now be either pinned to the top of your chat list, muted, or removed entirely.



To unpin or unmute a chat, those options will be given in this same menu.

From the Website:


You will need to be either viewing the list of groups you're a member of, or in a SocialGlow group.

Open the Chat window by tapping the Chat icon in the bottom corner.



Select any chat that you want to edit. This includes group chats, and personal (one-on-one) chats.

Select the 3-dot icon in the top corner of this window.



Select your preferred action (Pin / Mute / Remove or Leave)
Additional Members option may be listed here, where you can view all members of that group chat.



Depending on your selection, that chat will now be either pinned to the top of your chat list, muted, or removed entirely.

To unpin or unmute a chat, those options will be given in this same menu.
