Archive a Group

Archiving removes a group from being accessed by its members, while preserving it on your dashboard for you to refer to.

This can be a helpful tool in several different scenarios, such as wanting to move your members' activity from one group to another, or archiving briefly while you make changes to that group.

This feature is available to those with a Premium subscription.

How to Archive a Group

From your SocialGlow dashboard, click Groups.

Locate the group you want to archive, then select the Archive icon to the far right.

Confirm that you want to archive that group.

That group will immediately be archived, and all moderators and members of that group will no longer be able to view that group. You and any admins of that group will be able to view this group from the SocialGlow dashboard.

View an Archived Group

From your SocialGlow dashboard, click Groups.

Click the Archived tab near the top of the page. All archived groups will be listed here.

You can interact with this group in all the ways you can an active group. You can edit it, add or schedule posts, view the group room and it's posts/comments, etc. However, no members of the group will be notified of any activity taking place in that group while it's archived.

When viewing an archived group, it will be marked as Archived, over the cover photo:

How to Restore an Archived Group

From your SocialGlow dashboard, click Groups.

Click the Archived tab near the top of the page.

Locate the group you want to restore, then select the Restore icon to the far right.

Confirm that you want to restore the group.

This will immediately move that group from being archived, to being active again. Your moderators and members will now be able to view and interact with that group again.
