Group Subchats

A subchat is a type of group chat that is available to all group members, but all group members are not automatically added. This can be helpful if you want to create chats about specific topics that may appeal to only a portion of your group members.

This feature is available to those with a Premium or Platinum subscription.

How to Create a Subchat

These instructions cover the view from the SocialGlow website, but this can be done from the Chat tab on the SocialGlow mobile app as well.

Login to your SocialGlow account.
You'll want to be on the SocialGlow Group side of things, not your dashboard.
If you're on your SocialGlow dashboard, click the Go to SocialGlow button in the top right corner.



Click the Chat icon in the lower right corner.



Click the + icon to add a new chat.



Fill in your desired information:
The name of this new subchat
From the dropdown box provided, select the group this chat will be in



(optional) Click + Add Members to hand-select members you'd like to add to this chat:
Select the members you want to add
Click Next



Once you're finished, click Create Chat.



Your subchat will be created immediately, and you can start chatting with the members of that subchat as soon as you'd like.

How to find this Subchat

This subchat will be listed in the Chat tab of your SocialGlow mobile app.



Subchats can also be seen in the group it was created in, from both the website and the mobile app.



All members of that group will be able to see that subchat, and click on it to join if they'd like.
